Svencelė is a mecca for kitesurfers and is located on the shore of the Curonian Lagoon, surrounded by nature reserves. It’s a unique oasis of water sports where everyone can try to learn ‘to control the wind’ as well as relax. Surrounded by gentle landscapes and nature reserves, Svencelė is one of the few new recreational areas in the Klaipėda region. The place has become a new tourist attraction: Svencelė offers a view of the Curonian Lagoon and coastal sand dunes in the distance, and it’s only a short distance from Klaipėda city and the villages of the district. This area is special because different landscape elements stand out linearly in it – the lagoon, dunes, reeds, open meadows and forests and local towns and villages.
