Plazės Lake of glacial origin is the closest lake to the sea. Near the lake there is a bird watching hut, which is a perfect place for taking a closer look at a number of water birds. With stronger binoculars you will be able to see resting or feeding flocks of goosanders, red-breasted mergansers, smews, also greater scaups, common pochards, northern pintails, northern shovelers, gadwalls, tufted ducks, widgeons, common goldeneyes and teals. Plazės Lakė cannot be accessed by car; it is best to leave it in the parking lot about 3 km away from the lake and walk or take a bicycle.
