A museum and tourism information centre operates in the reconstructed ethnographic fisherman’s homestead of J. Gižas. The museum offers an exhibition named ‘Jonas Gižas. Opening the Shipbuilder’s Chest...’, about Jonas Gižas, a shipbuilder of Dreverna, and acquaints visitors with the typical sailing ships, weather vanes and customs of the inhabitants of the Curonian Lagoon. You can try to use various shipbuilding tools or make a unique weather vane when visiting the museum. The homestead also hosts educational programmes included in the Culture Passport service package.
