Health Trails

The Health Trail system features four circular paths:

1. Red – Karklė, 4 kilometres, route available here;
2. Yellow – The Dutchman's Cap, 3.5 kilometres, route available here;
3. Blue – Kalotė, 4.5 kilometres, route available here;
4. Green – The Big Dream Path (Lith. Didžiosios Svajonės Takas), 3.3 kilometres, route available here;
The Health Trails span 15.3 kilometres in total, and you can explore the route here.

You can start your journey on the Health Trails from any point that suits you best. Each of the three trails forms a loop, making it easy to return to your starting point. You can opt for a single trail or challenge yourself with the full 15.3-kilometre route – all clearly marked with colour-coded paths.

Beginning at the Seaside Regional Park Administration Office's parking lot, you'll find arrows guiding the way to keep you on track. Along the route, informational signs display the distance covered and offer visual comparisons of the calories burned as you walk. The signs use familiar foods and dishes to inspire people to think more about eating healthily and staying active.

Strolling along the Health Trails offers more than just fresh air and relaxation – it’s a chance to explore unique vegetation and discover the scenic attractions of Seaside Regional Park.

  •  Lake Kalotė;
  •  The coastal artillery battery: Memel Nord;
  •  Kukuliškiai Hillfort;
  •  The Dutchman's Cap cliff;
  •  The old cemetery of Karklė.

The Health Trails are also suitable for walking with Nordic walking poles.

With its stunning natural surroundings – where the sea meets lush pine forests – Karklė is the perfect destination for wellness. Many accommodations in the area offer health-focused experiences, including therapies, spa treatments, and saunas.
