The centrepiece of the village of Vanagai is a neo-Gothic style Evangelical Lutheran church built in 1909, in which the features of both modernist and even rationalist architecture are evident. Next to the church lies the Vanagai ethnographic cemetery, where prominent public figures of Lithuania Minor are buried.
