The chapel-mausoleum was built at the end of the 19th century under the orders of Bronacki, who was a member of the Murphy Masonic Lodge of Klaipėda. According to reminiscences, the chapel was built in memory of the dead wife of Mason Bronacki. It is said that the remains of his wife were buried in the basement of the structure – a mausoleum – and a small chapel was built on top for worship. The chapel was built using natural stone masonry: smaller boulders were used for the interior side of the walls and larger, broken ones for the exterior. The main western façade was built with red bricks and had distinct features of the neo-Gothic style. The gable roof was covered with tiles. A spacious burial cellar was built under the chapel.
Unfortunately, the chapel was vandalised in the post-war period: the mausoleum was destroyed, the remains were desecrated (no burial marks remained), and the interior of the chapel suffered significant damage.
In 2020, the foundations of the building, and the stone and brick masonry of the façades were restored, the roof structure with tile covering and the brick cornices of the roof were reinstalled, the gable towers were repaired, the former brick vaulted ceiling of the chapel was restored according to the iconographic material and the wooden ceiling above the basement and wooden doors were fitted.
Apart from that, a foundation made of field stones was installed around the entire perimeter of the building, and the protective river embankment was restored in the course of the maintenance work. The surface of the land was also levelled, and a green lawn and a decorative shrub – European spindle – were planted.
