Church of St. Antanas Paduvietis, Priekulė

Church

Until 1936, the Catholic community’s gatherings took place in rented spaces. However, in 1936, a church construction committee was established, and a land plot was acquired. The current brick Catholic church was built between 1937 and 1938 on the initiative of Father Nikodemas Petkus. The rectangular-plan church building features a single tower and an apse and has three altars. The churchyard is surrounded by a paling fence with reinforced concrete posts at the base.
