The Gargždai pedestrian overbridge is a pedestrian viaduct built in 1938. It crosses the old Žemaičiai highway at the eastern entrance to the town, uphill from the valley of the Minija River. It connects the Church of St. Michael the Archangel and the rectory of Gargždai with the hospital of the town.
It was the first interwar pedestrian overbridge over a trunk road. The overbridge is an engineering monument of regional significance added to the Register of Cultural Values of the Republic of Lithuania in 1993.
The overbridge is a reinforced concrete structure with an original silhouette, one span and two supports. Its length is 21 metres, width 2 metres and height 5 metres, and the distance between supports is 12 metres. There are concrete steps at both ends of the overbridge, metal railings and cast concrete covering in the upper part.
