The only cinema in the Klaipėda district is located in Gargždai. After its reconstruction in 2015, the Minija cinema boasts a digital projector and 3D video equipment, an exceptional quality screen, a surround sound system and 162 ergonomic seats, 30 of which were equipped with a vibrating plate to enhance moviegoers' experience. The cinema offers viewings of the latest films and movie premieres. The exhibition of photo and film equipment collected by Jonas Mikutis, the long-time administrator of the Minija Cinema, opened its doors along with the cinema.
