The drawing on the wall of the Minija Cinema in Gargždai is a tribute to the history of Gargždai. It depicts three soccer players of Maccabi, a Jewish soccer team and the name of the city written in Yiddish.

Before the war, half of the inhabitants of the town of Gargždai were Jews. In 1939, they made up a third of the population of Gargždai and, undoubtedly, had a great influence on the town's development.

The community of Gargždai town, commemorating the year of the history of Lithuanian Jews, gave a sense to the memory of the Jewish community of Gargždai with a photograph taken by George (Hirsch) Birman (1922), who grew up in Gargždai. Many interwar photographs that have survived to this day were taken by this particular photographer.

The picture on the wall was drawn by Tadas Šimkus and Marius Skrupskis.
