The Evangelical Lutheran Church situated in the centre of the town of Dovilai was built in 1862. The church has a hexagonal apse with neo-Gothic features and is built of ashlar stone with vertical inserts of red clay bricks. In the central part of the main façade, there is a belfry of red clay bricks, ending with an octagonal turret and a metal cross. Window and door openings are arched. The churchyard used to have trees on all sides, part of which were cut down, and a municipal building was erected in the area of the churchyard.
