Ethnotourist routes in Klaipėda district

Facilities

The tour is open to students and adults. The tour includes a meeting with an archaeologist, an in-depth look at the subtleties of tool making, and games.

The tour is organised by ethnologist Dr J. Tilvik.

The tour includes:

  •     Dovilai hillfort, church, border section, narrow gauge railway, Old Boar Bridge, Kisiniai, Dovilai, Gelžiniai and other old cemeteries;
  •     Cultural heritage of the town of Priekulės (literature, confessional and civil heritage, history of old schools, natural objects);
  •     Agluonėnai (village cemetery, school, present-day Lithuanian oak forest).

The route is organised by ethnologist H. Lotužis.

The tour includes:

Vanagi (Klaipėdos r.), the church, the parish house, the priest's house, the Vanagi ethnographic cemetery, the birthplace of I. Simonaitytė.

The tour includes:

Šernai Oak, Šernai Stone, the highest oak in the district in Poškiai village, the thickest oak in Lūžgaliai, stone mushroom in Dumpi, and other significant natural objects in Klaipėda district.
