The chapel-mausoleum was built at the end of the 19th century. The building was built by Bronackis, a member of the Klaipėda Masonic Lodge "Merfis". According to people's memories, the chapel was built in memory of the deceased wife of Freemason Bronackis. It is said that his wife's remains were buried in the chapel's basement mausoleum, and a small chapel was built on the top of the chapel for worship. The chapel is made of external stonework: smaller natural boulders were used on the inside and larger, broken boulders on the outside. The main west façade is made of red bricks and has strong neo-Gothic features. The gabled roof was covered with tiles. A spacious cellar for burials was built under the chapel.
Unfortunately, the chapel was vandalised in the post-war period: the mausoleum was looted, the remains were desecrated (no traces of burials remain) and the interior of the chapel was scratched.
In 2020, the foundations of the building were restored, the stone and brickwork of the facades were restored, the tiled roof structure was restored, the stone cornices of the roof were restored, the turrets of the pediments were repaired, and the former brick vaulting of the chapel was reconstructed according to the iconographic material, the timber vaulting of the basement was restored, and the wooden door was installed.
The restoration work also included the construction of a stone rubble enclosure around the entire perimeter of the building and the restoration of the river embankment by levelling the ground and planting it with a green lawn, and the replanting of an ornamental shrub, the European goat's footberry.
