Evangelic Lutheran church of Vanagai was designed and built by the architect Tamošaitis (Tamoscheit), who lived in Ragainė, during the period of 1907 and 1909. Its prevailing features are those of modern and even rational architecture. The distinct feature of the Vanagai church is a dominating wall surface with rigidly “incised” elements and distinct corners. The church is attributed to the style of Historicism.
