Culinary cruise "Fish Road"

It is an exceptional culinary water tourism route in Pamarys region, cruising the rivers Dreverna, Minija, King Wilhelm Channel, the Curonian Lagoon, and Nemunas Delta. During the route, you will enjoy the Pamarys nature, visit regional places of interest, lean about the shipbuilding, history of fishery. And, most importantly, during the cruise, you will enjoy culinary heritage of Pamarys and Lithuanian Minor: six species of smoked fish from local water bodies, fish soup, or, eel soup. You will taste the "Royal" or "Blue Carp" and enjoy desserts: kaffee (lith. kafija), Šišioniškiai waffles, “gliumzinis” (curd) cake, and other traditional local meals.

In Dreverna, at the shipbuilder’s Jonas Gižas etnographic farmstead, you will be greeted with a dessert of Lithuania Minor and  the folklore programme “I’ll Become a Fisherman“ performed by “Žvejytės“. The museum hosts the improvised workshop of J. Gižas where you will have the opportunity to open the toolbox of the famous coastal shipbuilder. You will taste local winemaker’s “MEMEL wine” wine. Then you will sail a speedboat from Dreverna Small Craft Harbour by the Dreverna River, the King Wilhelm Channel, and the Minija River towards Kintai. After lunch in the tourist complex “Mėlynasis karpis”, you will continue your route to the village of Minija, our Lithuanian “Venice”. You will enter the Krokų Lanka Lake by the Atmata River, visit the Uostadvaris Lighthouse, reach the Upaitė River by the Hunters’ Trail, and enjoy lily plantations in Kniaupas Bay. After entering the Curonian Lagoon, you may wave the Ventė Lighthouse from a distance. Stop at the Ventainė restaurant. While sailing in the Curonian Lagoon, you will admire the dead dunes - Nagliai Nature Reserve, and then reach Dreverna.

The tour is unique in cruising all four water bodies by speedboats or two types of boats, by changing them during the voyage and continuing a part of the trip by bus.

You can start the culinary cruise from Dreverna, Kintai, Minija village, Uostadvaris or Ventainė.

In addition, we offer a festive dinner, overnight accommodation on the shores of the Curonian Lagoon, sailing an ancient Curonian sail boat – a line boat "Dreverna", fishing and other leisure activities.
