1. Market square

In the middle of the 18th century, when the old manor of Priekulė was bought by Johann Georg Gleich, a market square was built, and several taverns were built. In the mid-19th century, the New Market Square appeared. The rectangular square was planned on the site of the old manor. A combination of three markets was formed: the old livestock market, the fish market along the old Klaipėda highway and the new cereal market. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the spacious Market Hall was built of red brick and now houses the Priekule Cultural Centre. It used to be the venue for annual markets and other events.
