The Ieva Simonaitytė Memorial Museum was founded in 1979 in the writer's former summer house in Priekulė. The exposition, which is open to the public, provides an insight into the life and work of I. Simonaitytė. It includes photographs, documents, first editions of all her books and personal belongings. The rooms preserve the authentic environment of the house: furniture, paintings, books. The working room contains the writer's personal home library. The courtyard of the museum is decorated with roses, the most beloved flowers of Ieva Simonaitytė, as well as jasmine, beech tree, walnut tree and other plants.
The museum organises various events: celebrations of Simonaitytė's birthdays and other memorable dates, meetings with the winners of the Simonaitytė Literary Prize, book presentations, and International Museum Day events.
