Horse riding is popular in Priekulė. Every year, competitions for the Klimovas Cup are held in Vingis Park. In order to commemorate the old traditions of equestrian sports in Priekulė, it was decided to create an exclusive horse sculpture. It greets all those who come to Priekulė from the direction of Šilutė. The sculpture "Žirgas" (Horse) was erected in 2018 on the occasion of the centenary of the restoration of the state near the Vymeris Bridge in Priekul. The sculpture was created by Darius Vilius.
